Pushpa 2 Worldwide Collection Day 33
The phenomenal journey of Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, is witnessing a slight dip as it wraps up over a month at the box office. Already crowned as the biggest blockbuster in Indian cinema history, Pushpa 2 collection Worldwide has amassed an astonishing collection of₹1,206 crore nett, surpassing SS Rajamouli and Prabhas’ Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which held the record with₹1,030 crore back in 2016.
Pushpa 2 collection Worldwide has also made waves by being the first South Indian film to cross the ₹500 crore milestone in Hindi, currently standing at ₹791.65 nett crore in that language, according to Sacnilk.
Notably, the film's overall gross collection, as reported by its production house, Mythri Movie Makers, stands at an impressive ₹1,832 crore after 32 days.
What’s particularly exciting is that Pushpa 2 aimed to break Aamir Khan’s Dangal (2016) box office record of ₹2,024 crore. With the film still showing in theaters, fans are eager to see if it can indeed eclipse Dangal’s record. As it stands, Pushpa 2 collection worldwide is trailing Dangal by ₹192 crore.
However, early estimates from Sacnilk indicate a significant slowdown in box office performance, with day 33 collections dropping to ₹2.5 crore from Sunday’s ₹7 crore. The trade anticipates further declines in ticket sales now that the New Year celebrations have concluded and the work week has commenced.
Nevertheless, a resurgence in collections is expected over the weekend due to a lack of major releases this week, aside from Sonu Sood’s Fateh, which has not generated much excitement.
Despite facing competition from films like Mufasa: The Lion King and Varun Dhawan’s Baby John, Pushpa 2 collection Worldwide has shown remarkable staying power at the box office. However, industry experts remain cautious about upcoming challenges in January, with Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force and Shahid Kapoor-Pooja Hegde’s Deva set to release soon.
The disappointing performance of Varun Dhawan’s Baby John—failing to surpass the ₹40 crore mark despite its festive release—has raised eyebrows within the industry. Interestingly, Baby John’s lackluster performance has inadvertently benefited Pushpa 2 by allowing it to maintain its box office momentum while also benefiting Unni Mukundan’s Marco.
As Pushpa 2 collection Worldwide continues its impressive run, fans are eagerly awaiting news about the next chapter in this thrilling franchise!
